Hey there, welcome!

I’m Kerri, the creative behind Pretty Little Pots. I’ve been exploring the Potter’s craft for over a decade, and I am always finding new joy in it. There’s just something so deeply satisfying about taking raw earth and shaping it into a vessel that will bring joy and beauty into your daily routines and family rituals.

I began pottery as a way of tapping into the creativity that I knew was in me.

As an adolescent, I excelled at calligraphy, and enjoyed painting and drawing at different times throughout my life. When I had just moved to the town where I now live, I was searching for something to do with myself. My search eventually led me to a local pottery guild where I enrolled in a class and, ultimately, a membership. I was hooked from the first class, and I’ve been exploring it ever since. It has been a never-ending joy to always be finding new ways to form and decorate this fabulous medium that is clay!

Rustic Bloom Collection

The clay that I use is referred to as stoneware, which is renowned for its strength and durability, allowing it to withstand the uses of daily life. No porcelain here, sorry! You see, I am not the most graceful of humans, and stoneware allows me to create functional works of art for people just like me (Insert winky face, here)! Soulful pottery that is meant to be useful AND enjoyable. Every day.

Mugs

Most of my work will reflect the beauty of Creation in nature, to one degree or another.

Whether warm or whimsical, my inspiration begins there. You won’t find boob mugs, though, on occasion, you may come across some light-hearted ADHD humour, or a snarky quip from this sovereign, resilient Mama.

So. Is my pottery a necessity in your home? No. But it’s awfully hard to drink out of your hands.

Beyond that, I am a firm believer in lifting others up, shopping small where I can, and giving back, both close to home and farther away. I love to give and my pottery allows me to do that.
